Terms of Service
Last updated September 19, 2026. Short version: it's a free training tool, it's not medical advice, and you stay in control of your data.
Agreement
These terms govern your use of RunStrengthLab (the app at runstrengthlab.com), operated by Akansha Saxena ("we", "us"). By connecting your Strava account or otherwise using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What the app does
RunStrengthLab builds a daily strength training plan for runners, based on the equipment you tell us you have, your goal, your feedback, and (with your permission) your recent Strava activity. It is currently free to use. We may change, add, or remove features at any time, and we are an early product, so expect rough edges.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 and able to enter a binding agreement where you live. You need a Strava account: signing in with Strava is how you create and access your RunStrengthLab account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your Strava login secure. Please give us accurate information about your goal, experience level, and equipment, since your plans depend on it.
Your Strava account and data
  • You choose whether to connect Strava. Access is read-only, and we use your Strava data only as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You can disconnect Strava or delete your account at any time from Settings.
  • Your relationship with Strava is governed by Strava's own terms and privacy policy, not these.
  • RunStrengthLab is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Strava. Strava is a trademark of Strava, Inc.
  • If Strava changes or withdraws API access, parts of the app may stop working, and we are not responsible for that.
Health and safety
RunStrengthLab provides general fitness information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Your plans are suggestions generated with the help of software, including AI, and were not written by a coach or clinician who has examined you.
Strength training carries a risk of injury. Talk to a doctor or qualified professional before starting or changing an exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition or an injury, are pregnant, or are unsure whether an exercise is right for you. Stop and get advice if you feel pain, dizziness, or anything unusual. The training readiness reading is a rough estimate from your recent activity, not a medical measurement.
You use the app, and do every exercise, at your own risk and judgment. That includes deciding whether an exercise is safe for you and your equipment, and swapping or skipping anything that isn't.
AI-generated plans
Plans are put together by an AI model choosing from a curated exercise list. We check each plan against that list and your equipment, but a plan can still be wrong, unsuitable, or inaccurate. Please review each plan before you follow it.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
  • use the app unlawfully, or in a way that breaks Strava's terms;
  • access, or try to access, another person's account or data;
  • probe, scan, overload, or disrupt the app, or get around its access controls or rate limits;
  • scrape the app or use automated means to access it, or use the app or any Strava data obtained through it to build datasets or train AI models;
  • reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
  • upload malicious code, or use the app to harass others;
  • resell the app, or offer access to it to anyone else.
Your content and ours
You keep ownership of what you give us, such as your goal, equipment, and exercise feedback. You give us permission to store and process it solely to provide the app to you. Your Strava data is handled only as the Privacy Policy describes, and never for any other purpose.
We own the app, its design, and its code. Some exercise information comes from the open-source wger project (wger.de) and is used under its published license, with thanks to the wger community.
Third-party services
The app relies on third parties: Strava, our AI model provider, and our hosting and database providers. We don't control them, and they may be unavailable or change. To the fullest extent permitted by law, these third parties provide their services without any warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and they are not liable to you for any consequential, special, punitive, or indirect damages arising from your use of the app.
Availability
We don't promise the app will always be available or error-free. We may pause it for maintenance, and we may limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of it. If we shut the app down, we will give reasonable notice where we can, and you can delete your data from Settings at any time.
Ending your use
You can stop using the app whenever you like. Disconnecting Strava or deleting your account from Settings does what the Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law or by Strava, or if we discontinue the app. Anything in these terms that should reasonably continue after that, such as the disclaimers, limits of liability, and governing law, does.
No warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't promise that a plan will improve your fitness or performance or prevent injury, that any reading is accurate, or that the app will be uninterrupted.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for loss of data, profits, or opportunity, or for injury or harm arising from following a plan. Our total liability for all claims relating to the app is limited to US$100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, or any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above always shows the current version, and we will make any significant change clear in the app or on this page. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree with them, stop using the app and delete your account from Settings.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law lets you bring a claim in the courts where you live.
